Panchagarh, Narail reach final

DHAKA, Feb 25, 2025 (BSS)-Panchagarh and Narail districts 
confirmed their spot of final in the final round of U-23 
National Youth Volleyball competition eliminating their 
respective rivals in the semifinals held at Paltan ground in 
the capital on Tuesday.

The final match will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) at 3 pm, 
following the place-deciding match between Bogura district and 
Jhenaidah district that begins at 9 am.

On way to the final, Panchagarh district beat Bogura district 
by 3-0 set in the first semifinal while Narail district 
defeated Jhenaidah district also by 3-0 set in the second 
semis.

Earlier, in the day’s quarterfinal matches, Bogura beat Dhaka 
3-0, Jhenaidah defeated Chattogram by 3-1 set, Panchagarh 
outclassed Tangail by 3-0 set and Narail overpowered Cumilla 
by 3-0 set.   

A total of eight district volleyball teams -- four zonal 
champions and four runners-up teams –- are taking part in the 
final round of the competition.

The Bangladesh Volleyball Federation has organised the 
competition to celebrate the Festival of Youth-2025.
