Japan's Nikkei down 5% on continued tariff worries

TOKYO, April 11, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Japan's key Nikkei index of shares fell sharply Friday after continuing jitters about US tariffs hit stocks on Wall Street.

In early trade the Nikkei 225 was off 5.0 percent, having soared 9.1 percent on Thursday after US President Donald Trump paused many tariffs for 90 days.
