SANGSAD BHABAN, March 29, 2026 (BSS) - The Jatiya Sangsad today expressed deep condolence at the deaths of Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, Bir Bikram’s wife Dilara Hafiz and the mother of Jashore-6 constituency Member of Parliament Mohammad Muktar Ali.

Special prayers were offered in the House conducted by Chief Whip Nurul Islam seeking eternal peace for the departed souls and expressing sympathy to the bereaved families.

At the beginning of the adjourned sitting of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad today, prayers were offered for the salvation of the souls of the deceased.

Members of Parliament offered the prayers with due solemnity, seeking divine mercy and forgiveness for the departed and strength for their families to bear the irreparable loss.
