JS committee on public accounts formed

SANGSAD BHABAN, July 8, 2026 (BSS) - The 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) today formed parliamentary standing committee on public accounts, headed by opposition lawmaker and Bangladesh Jamaat-e Islami Nayeb-e-Ameer Syed Abdullah Mohammed Taher from Cumilla-11.

JS Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni on behalf of the Leader of the House and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman proposed formation of the committee.

Later, the proposals were adopted by voice votes with Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad in the chair.

Other committee members are Amanullah Aman, MP from Dhaka-2, ABM Ashrafuddin Nizan from Lakshmipur-4, Hafiz Ibrahim from Bhola-2, AKM Fazlul Huq Milon from Gazipur-5, AM Mahbub Uddin from Noakhali-1, Jalal Uddin from Chandpur-2, Dr M Mahbubur Rahman from Mymensingh-7, SK Azizul Bari from Khulna-4, M Manjurul Islam from Dinajpur-1, Fazley Huda from Naogaon-3, Zakir Hossen from Mymensingh-5, Syed Zainul Abedin from Dhaka-4, Ruhul Amin from Chuadanga-2 and Anwarul Islam from Kurigram-1.
