DHAKA, July 8, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh wicket-keeper batter Liton Das has been ruled out of the remaining matches of the ongoing ODI series against Zimbabwe in Harare after failing to recover from a hamstring injury, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said in a press release today.

"Liton had already missed the first ODI and is still not match-fit. He underwent a fitness test today and the outcome was not satisfactory," national team physio Bayjedul Islam Khan said.

"With back-to-back ODIs coming up, we don't think he will make sufficient progress to play any part in the series."

Liton will return to Dhaka to continue his recovery. Left-hander Parvez Hossain Emon has been named as Liton's replacement for the second and third matches of the series on July 9 and 11.

Bangladesh trail 0-1 after losing the first ODI by 25 runs.
