Fatullah's ex-OC jailed for concealing wealth info

DHAKA, July 20, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today convicted and sentenced Md 
Hasan Ali, former officer-in-charge (OC) of Fatullah Police Station, to two 
years imprisonment in a case lodged for concealing information about his 
wealth.

Judge Md Abdullah Al Mamun of Dhaka Special Judge Court-5 pronounced the 
judgment, and also fined him Taka 50,000, in default, to suffer three months 
more behind bars. 

The court also acquitted Hasan's wife Qamrunnahar Rubi of the charges as the 
charges framed against him were not proved.

Then Assistant Director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the 
case on September 11, 2014, for concealing information about the wealth of 
Taka 13.91 lakh from 1997 to 2012.
