Nine including Inu, Noor appear before court virtually in uprising cases

DHAKA, Sept 16, 2025 (BSS) - Nine individuals including Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JaSoD) president Hasanul Haque Inu and former cultural affairs minister Asazuzzaman Noor today virtually appeared before a court here in four cases linked to the July uprising.
 
They were produced before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arifur Rahman on the virtual platform from Keraniganj and Kashimpur jails.
 
High Court division judge Justice Md. Akram Hossain Chowdhury was present virtually during the court proceeding and expressed his satisfaction over it.
 
Additional Police Commissioner (ADC) of Prosecution Division Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Main Uddin Chowdhury confirmed BSS of the matter.
 
The accused were produced before the court virtually in four separate cases filed with Jatrabari, Paltan, Mirpur and Hatir Jheel police stations in the capital in connection with the July uprising.
 
The court took into cognizance their virtual appearances.
 
The other accused who appeared virtually in the cases are former ICT Division state minister Zunaid Ahmed Palok, former state minister for civil aviation and tourism Mahbub Ali, former state minister for industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder, former state minister for Liberation Affairs Ministry ABM Tajul Islam, former officer-in-charge (OC) of Jatrabari Police Station Abul Hasan, former OC Mazharul Islam and Constable Soaibur Rahman.
