DHAKA, March 1, 2026 (BASS)- The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today filed a case against Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, former Member of Parliament of Gopalganj-2, for acquiring wealth beyond his known sources of income.
According to the ACC, he misused his position and engaged in irregularities in tender processes across the country, allegedly taking commissions ranging from 10–15% preferred contractors on projects worth about TK 13,000 crore.
ACC investigations revealed that he accumulated amount worth about TK 13.59 crore in assets which is inconsistent with his declared income.
The case has been filed under section 27(1) of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act, 2004.
In addition, orders have been issued under section 26(1) of the same law for his wife, Fatema Selim, his sons Sheikh Fazle Fahim and Sheikh Fazle Naeem and his daughter Sheikh Amena Sultana Sonia, to submit their detailed declarations of assets.
The ACC Director General Md. Akhtar Hossain disclosed this during a regular media briefing at the commission’s headquarters here.
