DHAKA, June 02, 2025 (BSS) - Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed has proposed an allocation of TK 480 crore for the ministry of jute and textile in the fiscal year (FY) 2025-2026.

The adviser made the announcement today while unveiling the national budget for FY26 in a televised speech. 

He said TK 232 crore is designated for operational expenses, while TK 248 crore is for development expenditure.

In comparison, the revised budget for FY25 allocated TK 498 crore for the ministry.
