Amjanatar Dal leader Tarek ends hunger strike at Salahuddin Ahmed's request

DHAKA, Nov 9, 2025 (BSS) - Md Tarek Rahman, member secretary of Amjanatar Dal, ended his 134-hour-long hunger strike tonight at the request of BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed.

Salahuddin broke Tarek's fast around 8:30pm, after which he was taken to Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

Salahuddin told reporters that Tarek had been on hunger strike demanding party registration.

The BNP senior leader had requested the Election Commission to reconsider the matter of Tarek. 

He hoped Tarek would recover soon and that the EC would ensure justice.
