Govt allocates Tk 2,183cr for Religious affairs

DHAKA, June 2, 2025 (BSS) - Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed today 
proposed to allocate Taka 2,183 crore for the ministry of Religious Affairs 
which was 240 crore more than the revised budget of FY 2024-25 and Taka 419 
crore more than the actual budget of 2024-25.

The finance adviser said this while presenting the proposed national budget 
for FY26 in a pre-recorded nationwide address through Bangladesh Television 
(BTV) and Bangladesh Betar.

Under the proposed budget, the government has allocated Taka 394 crore for 
the operating sector and Taka 1,789 crore for the development purpose.
