Prof CR Abrar to swear in as adviser tomorrow

DHAKA, March 4, 2025 (BSS) - Professor Chowdhury R Abrar will take oath as a new adviser of the interim government tomorrow.

The oath-taking ceremony is likely to be held at Bangabhaban at 11 am, Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said at a press briefing at Foreign Service Academy here today.

CR Abrar, he said, is expected to take charge as the education adviser.

Dr Wahiduddin Mahmud currently holds the position of Education Adviser.

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretaries Apurba Jahangir and Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, and Assistant Press Secretary Suchismita Tithi were present.

Prof Abrar is the Executive Director of RMMRU. He taught International Relations at the University of Dhaka for four decades.

He studied at the University of Dhaka, the University of Sussex and Griffith University in Australia.
