RUET to expand mobile network to its campus- Photo: BSS

RAJSHAHI, Nov 25, 2025 (BSS) - Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) will expand mobile network coverage across its campus to benefit teachers, students and others concerned.

To this end, RUET authorities signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Grameenphone (GP) Limited today.

RUET Registrar Arif Ahmed Chowdhury and Abdur Raihan, Head of Technology Infrastructure Management, Technology Division of GP, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations.

Vice-Chancellor Prof SM Abdur Razzaque, Students' Welfare Director Prof Rabiul Islam Sarker and Planning and Development Director Prof HM Rassel were also present at the ceremony.

Under the 10-year agreement, GP will install three mobile network towers on the architecture building, institute building and staff quarter building as early as possible. The number of towers may be increased if necessary.
