CA mourns death of Mustafa Zaman Abbasi

DHAKA, May 10, 2025 (BSS) - Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today expressed deep shock at the death of renowned musician, researcher and writer Mustafa Zaman Abbasi.

In a condolence message, he said the contribution of Mustafa Zaman Abbasi, an Ekushey Padak recipient, to the Bangladesh's music will be remembered forever.

The Chief Adviser prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul of Abbasi and convoyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

"The songs and research of this multi-dimensional musicologist, born in a renowned musical family of the subcontinent, will create scopes for new thoughts in cultural arena of Bangladesh," he said. 

Mustafa Zaman Abbasi passed away this morning at the age of 87.
