DHAKA, June 6, 2025 (BSS) - Adviser to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain has assured passengers of a smooth and hassle-free Eid-ul-Azha journey.

During a visit to the Mohakhali Bus Terminal here today, the Adviser inspected the overall travel situation ahead of Eid and spoke directly with passengers to address concerns about overcharging, delays and other inconveniences.

The Adviser's statements and updates from the visit were shared on his verified Facebook page early today.

Responding to complaints on the spot, Adviser Asif Mahmud refunded the excess fare that had been collected from several passengers.

He emphasized that strict action would be taken against any bus operator found guilty of harassment or fare manipulation, going against government regulations.

"We are committed to ensuring a comfortable and fair journey for all Eid travelers. No passenger should face harassment or be charged more than the fixed fare," he said during the visit.
