CA mourns tragic plane crash in India with 242 on board

DHAKA, June 12, 2025 (BSS) - Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today expressed deep shock over the tragic crash of a plane in India with 242 people on board.

"?I am shocked to learn of the tragic crash of an Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner carrying 242 passengers in Ahmedabad. We extend our deepest condolences to all the families who lost their dear ones at this tragic incident," the Chief Adviser said in a message sent to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
 
At this trying hour, he said, their thoughts and prayers remain with the victims and their loved ones. 

"We stand in solidarity with the people and the government of India, and offer our full support in any form," Prof Yunus said. 

A London-bound passenger plane crashed on Thursday in India's western city of Ahmedabad with 242 on board, aviation officials said in what the airline called a "tragic accident".
