DHAKA, Aug 24, 2025 (BSS) – Social Welfare Adviser Sharmin S Murshid today said the country should be built with the spirit of the July Mass Uprising of 2024.

"We need to encourage the youth and move forward in building a nation which will be based on talent. We need to build the future with them. We need to train the youth in technical skills and flourish them," she said.

The adviser made this statement while speaking as the chief guest at a workshop titled 'Counseling Unit and Cyber Safety Unit' organised by the Nirapad Alliance at the International Mother Language Institute auditorium in the capital.

About the dedication of the youth, the social welfare adviser said, “We have seen how the youth protested against fascism during the July Uprising in 2024. The movement was successful due to the spirit of the youth and adolescents.”

The people of Bangladesh never forget those who sacrificed their lives for the nation, said the adviser, adding that the Social Welfare Ministry and the Women and Children Affairs Ministry are continuing their support for these youth.
