Bhutanese PM congratulates Tarique Rahman

DHAKA, Feb 14, 2026 (BSS) - Prime Minister of Bhutan Tshering Tobgay today congratulated Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairman Tarique Rahman on his party's massive victory in the general elections.

"Warmest congratulations to Mr. Tarique Rahman and the BNP on winning the Bangladesh General Elections," the Bhutanese Prime Minister said in a message.

He expressed his eagerness to work closely with the new leadership to further strengthen the longstanding friendship between Bhutan and Bangladesh.

Tobgay said the resounding mandate reflected the confidence of the people of Bangladesh in Tarique Rahman's leadership and heralded a new chapter of peace and progress.
