Saimum Parvez appointed PM's special assistant on environment

DHAKA, April 22, 2026 (BSS) - Saimum Parvez has been appointed as the prime minister's special assistant on environment, forests and climate change for a one-year term, with the status of a secretary.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification in this regard today.

The appointment has been made on a contractual basis and will be effective for one year from the date of his joining.

According to the notification, he must sever ties with any professional, business or organisational affiliations-whether public, semi-government or private before assuming office.

Other terms and conditions of the appointment will be determined in accordance with the contract provisions, the order said
