SANGSAD BHABAN, April 22, 2026 (BSS) - Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today said that his government will take quick action to remove dealers of ration and fertilizer recruited during the tenure of the fallen fascist government.

He said this responding to a question from Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni in the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) here with Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, Bir Bikram, in the chair.

The chief whip placed the question, saying that dealers currently responsible for ration and fertilizer distribution are harassing ordinary people and trying to create artificial crises in the market.

It is necessary to cancel the recruitment of old dealers and recruit new ones to ensure that farmers receive fertilizer at fair prices and to remove fascist elements, said Moni.

In reply, the premier said when the chief whip placed the matter; almost the entire House welcomed it.

"If there is consensus across the parliament on this issue, the government will certainly take swift action," he said.

MPs welcomed the prime minister's response by thumping their desks on the occasion.
