Offices resume today after Eid holidays

DHAKA, June 1, 2026 (BSS) - Government and private offices, including banks, insurance companies and capital market institutions, resumed operations across the country today after a seven-day holiday on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Azha.

The government had declared public holidays from May 25 to May 31 for Eid-ul-Azha, allowing employees to enjoy an extended break combined with the weekly weekend.

The government employees enjoyed a full seven days of leave.

After the long holiday, millions of employees returned to their workplaces today, bringing normal office activities back across the country.
