PM takes responsibility for treatment of injured BNP activist Nayan

DHAKA, June 21, 2026 (BSS) – Prime Minister and chief patron of “Amra BNP Poribar” Tarique Rahman has taken responsibility for the medical treatment of Md. Nayan Hossain, who was injured in police firing at Baghopara in Bogura.

As part of the initiative planned by the Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman, treatment for Nayan’s eye began at a hospital in the capital on Saturday.

Renowned eye specialist Dr. Sayed Mehboob-ul-Qadir is supervising the treatment, according to sources concerned.

Member Secretary of “Amra BNP Poribar” Agriculturist Mokhsedul Momin Mithun was present during the commencement of the treatment.

Nayan Hossain, a BNP activist and resident of Baghopara, had been living with his injuries for long. He was wounded in police firing on October 29, 2023.

Coming from a poor family, he had been facing serious hardship while awaiting proper medical care.
