ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, Kushtia, Jan 5, 2025 (BSS) - The Islamic University (IU) unit of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir has announced its new president and secretary.
A Facebook post was made on Shibir's official facebook page regarding this.
Mahmudul Hasan of Applied Nutrition and Food Technology department under the 2017-18 session was elected as president and Yousuf Ali of Da'wah and Islamic Studies department under the same session was nominated as secretary. They will serve these posts for next one year.
Earlier on this day, a members’ assembly was held and the president was elected by the unit members' votes. The ballot papers were signed by the central president Zahidul Islam. After counting the votes, central secretary Nurul Islam Saddam declared Mahmudul Hasan as president.
Later, discussing with the members of the unit, the newly elected president nominated Yousuf Ali as the secretary.
