MANIKGANJ, Nov 10, 2025 (BSS) -The Wage Earners' Welfare Board today distributed cheques for death compensation, medical treatment, educational scholarships, assistance for disabilities, and for insurance facilities in the district.
Dhaka Divisional Commissioner Sharf Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury distributed cheques worth Tk 39.09 crore among 39 recipients under the auspices of the "Promoting Diasporas Investment and Optimum Uses of Remittance Project."
On this occasion, a 'Knowledge Sharing Seminar' was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner.
Director General (DG) of the Wage Earners' Welfare Board Barrister Md Golam Sarwar Bhuiya presided over the programme, while Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr Manwar Hossein Malla, Project Director Imran Ahmed and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mohammad Ali, among others, were present.
