Nanotechnology can revolutionize every aspect of our lives- CUET VC

CHATTOGRAM, Jan 6, 2025 (BSS)- Vice-Chancellor  of Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) Professor Dr Mahmood Abdul Matin Bhuiyan has said, “Nanotechnology is a fast growing and innovative field that can revolutionize every aspect of our lives.”

He was speaking as the chief guest at a seminar titled ‘Nanotechnology : The Tiny Revolution Shaping the Future of Energy, Health and Environment”, organized by CUET Chemistry Department at the academic council today.

The VC said, “it will be possible to develop new drugs, therapies and surgical methods using nanotechnology. Speedy and more accurate diagnosis can be made using nano-diagonestics.

Scientists are trying to develop new materials and devices that use nanotechnology which will be more powerful, durable, efficient and secure, he said.

By using nanotechnology it will be possible to reduce pollution and play major role in environment. Buildings can be made stronger and more sustainable by using nanotechnology.

Founding Director of Nano Technology Center of Kepin State University of Meryland Baltimore in America Professor Dr Zamal Uddin was the main speaker of the seminar.

Dean of Science and Technology Faculty Professor Dr A H Rashedul Hossain addressed the seminar as special guest with head of Chemistry Department Dr Roksana Khatun in the chair.

Associate Professor of the Chemistry Department Professor Dr Shwshata Robi delivered the welcome speech while lecturer Sanzeda Mukut conducted the event.
