DHAKA, Jan 7, 2025 (BSS) – A total of 61 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.

"During the period, 10 dengue patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, 13 in Chattogram, 10 in Dhaka division, 10 in Dhaka North city while nine in Dhaka South, one in Rajshahi (out of city corporation), two in Mymensingh and six were admitted to different hospitals in Khulna," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 418 while three deaths from dengue disease were reported this year.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214 while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported during the last year, the statement added.
