FENI, Nov 27, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Vice Chairman Abdul Awal Mintu today said the country's people have finally regained their voting rights after a long time, expressing confidence that the BNP would secure a landslide victory in a free and fair general election in the days ahead.

"A democratic government will be formed under the leadership of our leader Tarique Rahman... A peaceful situation will return to the country, and economic growth will increase as well," Mintu told a gathering in Daganbhuiyan this afternoon.

The BNP-nominated candidate for the Feni-3 constituency also addressed two more gatherings at Silonia Bazar and Tulatuli.

Speaking at the meeting in Silonia Bazar, he said, "This is the first time I have come to seek votes for myself. Previously, I came to seek votes for the party and sometimes for my father and brother. Even then, you never sent me back empty-handed."

He hoped that people would support him again by casting their votes for the Paddy Sheaf symbol in the upcoming polls.

"If the BNP is voted to power in the upcoming elections, I will work for the development of the area in consultation with you," the senior BNP leader added.

District BNP Joint Convener Anwar Hossain Patwari, Daganbhuiyan Upazila BNP Convener Md Akbar Hossain, District Jubo Dal Convener Nasir Uddin Khandaker, District Swechchhasebak Dal President Saidur Rahman Jewel, and Union BNP General Secretary Didarul Alam, among others, also spoke.

Earlier, BNP party leaders and workers welcomed Abdul Awal Mintu upon his arrival with a large convoy.
