DHAKA, Jan 12, 2025 (BSS) - One dengue patient died while 57 were admitted to different hospitals across the country during the last 24 hours ending this morning.

"During the period, 21 patients were hospitalised in Chattogram, five in Barishal division, seven in Dhaka division, six in Dhaka North city while 11 in Dhaka South, three in Khulna and four were admitted to different hospitals in Rajshahi," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of case rose to 630 while five deaths from dengue disease were reported this year so far.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214 while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
