DHAKA, Jan 20, 2025 (BSS) - Thirty Nine dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.

"During the period, 12 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, two in Chattogram, nine in Dhaka division, three in Dhaka North city while seven in Dhaka South, and six were admitted to different hospitals in Khulna," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of case rose to 916 while eight deaths from dengue disease were reported this year.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214 while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
