DIFE, DoL see major reshuffle

DHAKA, Feb 5, 2025 (BSS) - The government has made a major reshuffle of officials and employees at the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) and the Department of Labour (DoL). 

DIFE has transferred 139 officials, including 118 labour inspectors, seven deputy inspectors general, three joint inspectors general, one assistant inspector general, one head assistant, and nine office assistants-cum-computer operators, said a press release of the Ministry of Labour and Employment issued on Monday. .

Meanwhile, DoL has reassigned 61 personnel, comprising 27 first-class officials, 16 second-class officials, and 28 third- and fourth-class employees.

The reshuffle move by the DIFE and DoL follows a directive from M Sakhawat Hussain, adviser to the Labour and Employment and Shipping Ministry, to reshuffle those who had remained in the same post for an extended period.
