DHAKA, Feb 10, 2025 (BSS) – Ireland is ready in extending necessary cooperation to the Interim Government of Bangladesh, said Ireland non-resident ambassador to Bangladesh Kevin Kelly here today.

The envoy made the remark while paying his maiden courtesy call on Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain this afternoon at the foreign ministry here, said a ministry’s press release.

The envoy termed the student-led mass uprising of July-August 2024 as a historic one.

During the meeting, the ambassador lauded Bangladesh for sheltering the forcibly displaced Rohingyas and reaffirmed Irish support in pursuit of finding a sustainable solution to the crisis.
