Met office forecasts light rain likely over parts of country

DHAKA, Feb 12, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted that weather may remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky and chances of light rain in Chattogram and Sylhet divisions for the next 24 hours.

"Weather may remain mainly dry with the temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, having chances of light rain or drizzle at one or two places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions." said the forecast begins from 9am today.

The ridge of sub-continental high extends up to Bihar and adjoining areas. Seasonal low lies over South Bay.

Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from late night to morning.

Night temperature may rise by (1-2)øC and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 31.6 degrees Celsius at Teknaf and minimum temperature today was recorded at 12.0 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi.

The sun sets today at 05:52 PM and rises tomorrow at 06:33 AM in the capital.
