DMP files 1735 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, Feb 24, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic 
Division has filed a total of 1735 cases in three days across the capital for violating traffic rules.

This information was confirmed in a press release issued here today signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman.

It said the DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines during the last one day from February 23 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers.

During the drive, a total of 204 vehicles were impounded and 55 others were towed. 

The DMP information further said the drive will continue to bring discipline to Dhaka's streets.
