BRUR holds first-ever prayer, Iftar mahfil for female students

RANGPUR, Mar 5, 2025 (BSS)- On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) authority today organized   first ever  prayer and Iftar mahfil for female students, teachers, officials and employees.  
 
Vice-chancellor of the BRUR  Professor Dr. Md. Showkat Ali was present as the chief guest at the prayer and Iftar mahfil held at the ground adjacent to Shaheed Felani Hall of the university this evening.
 
Vice-chancellor delivered a brief speech at the Iftar mahfil.
 
“After organizing Iftar with students, teachers, officials and employees I thank Almighty Allah for organizing the Iftar mahfil with female students for the first time in the fourth Ramadan at the initiative of the university,” he said.
 
The Vice-chancellor said that after completing their studies, the female students of the university like male  will be successful in their careers and will devote themselves to serving the country and the nation.
 
He called upon everyone to work together to establish Begum Rokeya University as one of the best universities in the country.
 
Provost of BRUR Shaheed Felani Hall Dr. Md. Sifat Rumana, Director of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Professor Dr. Md. Tajul Islam, Director of the office of The Student Affairs Professor Dr. Md. Elias Pramanik, Proctor, Dr. Md. Ferdous Rahman and female teachers, students, officers and employees of various departments were present at the prayer and iftar mahfil.
 
The prayer mahfil was conducted by Khatib of the university's central mosque Rakib Uddin Ahmed.
