RU forms 4 committees on different issues

RAJSHAHI, March 7, 2025 (BSS)- Rajshahi University (RU) authority has constituted four separate committees aimed at taking proper decisions on different issues, including the naming and renaming of its establishments, on Thursday.

A seven-member body has been formed to name and rename different establishments and buildings. Pro-vice-chancellor (Administration) Prof Mayeen Uddin and Registrar Prof Iftikharul Masud were made president and member-secretary of the committee respectively.

Another nine-member committee was formed to hold history and tradition in senate building and Pro-vice-chancellor (Academic) Prof Farid Uddin Khan was made convener of the body.  

Aimed at reviewing the existing policies to allocate seats in students' dormitories, a six-member committee was formed with Pro-vice-chancellor (Administration) Prof Mayeen Uddin as convener.

A seven-member committee has been formed to review the estimation of different installations, building renovation and civil works with Pro-vice-chancellor (Administration) Prof Mayeen Uddin as convener.

Talking to BSS here Friday, Vice-chancellor Prof Saleh Hassan Naquib elaborated on the aims and objectives of the formation of the committees saying transparency, accountability and dynamism will be attained through the activities.

A link between the past and present related to decorating installations and building of the university as per the demand of time will also be established.
