Met office forecasts mainly dry weather over country

DHAKA, March 9, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted that weather may remain dry for the next 24 hours over the country, beginning from 9:00am this morning.

"Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country", according to a BMD bulletin issued by Meteorologist Kh Hafizur Rahman.

Day temperature may rise by (1-2)øC and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, it added.

The highest temperature 33.5 degree Celsius was recorded in Rangamati on Saturday and today's minimum temperature 14.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Tetulia and Rajarhat in Rangpur division and at Teknaf in Cox's Bazar.

The sun sets at 6:05pm today and rises at 6:13am tomorrow in the capital.
