DHAKA, March 11, 2025 (BSS) - Special Assistant to Chief Adviser Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb today laid emphasis on making digital inventory of the assets of Directorate of Posts (DoP), saying effective measures will be taken to recover its assets grabbed in the past.

Faiz Ahmed Taiyeb, also in-charge of the ministry of posts, telecommunications and information technology, made this remark while exchanging views with the officials of the DoP at the Dak Bhaban in Agargaon, said a ministry release.

He noted it is very important to increase the institutional capacity of the DoP in line with the needs of digital transformation.

Faiz Ahmed Taiyeb instructed the officials to check the quality of all construction works of the DoP as well as the quality of equipment and software.

About various projects, he said that no project will be approved without an exit plan, adding, "The project must have an exit plan. DPP quality must be ensured in new projects."

The special assistant instructed the officials to explore the possibility of delivering government services, which people typically need to obtain by visiting offices, to their homes via the DoP.

He also asked the officials concerned to find out about the successful service models of neighboring countries-India and Pakistan, instead of just giving examples from Europe.

The activities of the DoP were presented in details in the meeting.

With Posts and Telecommunications Division Secretary Dr Md Mushfiqur Rahman in the chair, the DoP officials attended the meeting.
