Kathmandu invites Touhid to visit Nepal

DHAKA, Mar 11, 2025 (BSS) – Nepalese foreign affairs minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has invited his Bangladeshi counterpart foreign adviser Md Touhid Hossain to visit Kathmandu to attend the first edition of 'Sagarmatha Sambaad' to be held from May 16-18.     

Nepal Ambassador to Bangladesh Ghanashyam Bhandari handed over the original invitation letter to the foreign adviser by calling on him at the foreign ministry here today, said a ministry’s press release here. 

On the occasion, they took stock of the recent positive developments towards strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries. 

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest including the ongoing initiatives to enhance cooperation in trade, energy, connectivity, climate change, tourism, and people-to-people contacts were discussed. 

They also discussed accelerating efforts to better realize mutual benefits from the regional and sub-regional frameworks including SAARC, BIMSTEC and BBIN.
