The students under the banner of ‘Students of 50th Batch’ organised the Iftar Mahfil at the central playground of the university.

Abdul Halim, a fourth-year student of the public administration department who participated in the event, said, “Holy Ramadan month is a blessing for us. Events like mass Iftar bring us very close to celebrating it spiritually and with festivity. I hope it will continue with the cordial assistance of the administration.”

Husne Mubarok, one of the organisers, said, “Last year, after several universities imposed a ban on mass Iftar gatherings, the 49th batch of our university organised a mass Iftar Mahfil as part of the protest. Today’s event is a continuation of that effort.”

Zia Uddin Ayan, another key organiser, said, “We received a great response from friends, classmates, and the university administration for the event.”

He also assured that the administration had promised to extend support for future events of this nature.

Addressing the event, Professor Dr. Sohel Ahmed, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Administration), said, “I warmly welcome this initiative by my beloved students. We must learn the lessons of unity, harmony and spiritualism from such gatherings and try to implement them throughout the year.”
