DHAKA, March 12, 2025 (BSS) - A fire broke out in the city's Mohakhali Sattola slum early today, and was brought under control nearly after two hours of intense efforts.

The fire originated at 3:40 am and was brought under control at 5:20 in the morning, media officer Khairul Islam Rony of Fire Service and Civil Defence told BSS.

After receiving the information, within five minutes the fire fighting engine rushed to the scene. A total of eight fire units worked to douse the flame.

The cause behind the fire and the extent of damage could not be known immediately.

No casualties have so far been reported in the fire.
