Commerce Secretary opens Ramadan & Eid Festival in city

DHAKA, March 12, 2025 (BSS) - Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman inaugurated the Ramadan and Eid Festival 2025 at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in the capital today.

The X-Group Chain Restaurant and Hospitality Management is organizing the festival which will continue till March 26 featuring various traditional Iftar items, festival clothes, household and other items.

The festival will remain open every day for everyone from 12 noon to 10:30 pm during the period, said a Commerce Ministry press release.

The Commerce Secretary inaugurated the festival through cutting ribbon and releasing balloons.

Presided over by X-Group Chain Restaurant and Hospitality Management CEO Md Jahangir Alam, SME Foundation Managing Director Anwar Hossain Chowdhury and Beam Show Managing Director Abdul Kader were present as special guests.

Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, the Commerce Secretary said that this Ramadan and Eid Festival would become a nice place of gathering for the food lovers, businessmen and consumers.

Mahbubur also said this fiesta would play an important role towards turning the city life more joyous and enjoyable.
