Vitamin 'A' plus capsules being fed to around 2.50 lakh children in Natore

NATORE, March 15, 2025 (BSS) - About 2.50 lakh children in the district are 
being given vitamin A plus capsules. 

The program was formally inaugurated at Natore Modern Sadar Hospital at 10am 
today.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Abul Hayat, Additional Superintendent of 
Police (Operation and Crime) Md. Ekramul Haque, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer 
(UNO) Akhter Jahan Sathi were present on the occasion.

Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Muktadir Arefin said a total of 2,48,595 children 
in the district would be fed vitamin A capsules. Of these, 25,592 children 
aged six to 11 months are being given a blue capsule and 2,23,33 children 
aged 12 to 59 months are being given a red capsule. 

Vitamin 'A' campaigns are being held simultaneously in 1,3878 centers in the 
district. Two people are doing voluntary duties with a health worker in 
response of the campaign. 

In the meantime, those health workers and volunteers have been trained. To 
ensure the presence of children in the centers, the Islamic Foundation has 
campaigned in mosques and locally through micking.
