DINAJPUR, March 15, 2025 (BSS) - The National Vitamin A Plus Campaign 2025 has begun today here in the district.

Dinajpur deputy commissioner (DC) Rafiqul Islam inaugurated the national medical campaign at ward no 3 of Dinajpur municipality as chief guest while deputy director of local government Riaz Uddin, civil surgeon Dr Asif Ferdous and secretary of the municipality Mahbubur Rahman attended the inaugural event as special guests.

At least 3,82,908 children in the district will be fed Vitamin A plus capsules. Of them, 40,767 children aged 6-11 months will be administered blue Vitamin A plus capsule and 3, 82,141 children aged 12-59 months will be fed red Vitamin A plus capsule.


The children will receive the medical aids at a total of 2,616 centers across the city.

Addressing the inaugural function of the national medical campaign, civil surgeon Dr Asif Ferdous said the campaign was being held peacefully and the municipality authorities and the district health department were jointly working to make the campaign successful.
