According to the complaint, Bappy was abducted on July 16, 2024, and held for more than 12 hours, from 9:30 am to 10:00 pm.

"On July 16, 2024, while on my way to attend a road blockade programme, I was pulled off an auto-rickshaw in front of the Youth Development Office in Sonadanga by 15-20 individuals. Within seconds, they blindfolded me and tied my hands and feet. I remained in this condition for over 12 hours," he said.

"During this time, I was verbally abused and pressured to stop my activism. Around 10:00 pm, they left me bound in a deserted garden near the Arongghata Bypass area, where locals later rescued me."

When asked why he filed the complaint after a long delay, Bappy said, "I went to the police station the next day to file a case, but they refused to accept it. Later, due to other obligations, I could not pursue the matter further."

Mohammad Masud Rana, Administrative Officer at the Chief Prosecutor's Office of the International Crimes Tribunal, confirmed the complaint has been received and said that necessary action will be taken in accordance with the law.
