DHAKA, June 25, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh has called on European countries to expand safe, orderly and regular pathways for migration.

The urge was made by foreign ministry's Secretary (Bilateral) Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam when he attended the "EMN Poland Presidency Conference" in Warsaw on Tuesday organised by Poland's National Contact Point of the European Migration Network, said a foreign ministry's press release here today.

Islam took part in a panel on "Prevention and response to migration smuggling in the framework of the Global Alliance to counter migrant smuggling".

At the panel discussion, he highlighted Bangladesh's firm commitment to
addressing the challenges of irregular migration through comprehensive,
collaborative and humane approaches.

A balanced and inclusive approach, addressing both the root causes of
irregular migration and expanding legal migration opportunities, can lead to a more sustainable and equitable global migration system, Dr. Nazrul Islam
added.
