Two food shops fined Taka 90,000 in Chuadanga

CHUADANGA, March 15, 2025 (BSS) - National Consumers Rights Protection
Department fined two food shops Taka 90,000 for adulterating food at
Karpasdanga Bazar under Damurhuda upazila of the district today.

A team of the department conducted a drive at Karpasdanga Bazar this
afternoon and fined Kamal Store Taka 70,000 and Gaushia Food Taka 20,000 for
producing food in an unhygienic process and having false information on food
packaging, said Mohammad Mamunul Hasan, assistant director of Chuadanga
Consumer Rights Protection Department.

As part of the regular operation, the essential products, children's food and
bakery establishments were monitored in Karpasdanga Bazar, he added.
