DHAKA, March 15, 2025 (BSS) - Nine dengue patients were admitted to different 
hospitals across the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.

"During the period, three patients were hospitalised in Barishal division 
(outside the city corporation) while four in Dhaka South, one in Dhaka north 
and one in Mymensingh division (outside the city corporation)," said a press 
release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 1,715, while 13 deaths from dengue disease 
were reported this year.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214 while 575 deaths from 
the mosquito-borne viral disease were reported, the statement added.
