140,628 to sit for SSC examinations under Chattogram Board

CHATTOGRAM, March 17, 2025 (BSS)- A total of 140,628 candidates will appear at the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations under Chattogram Education Board (CEB) this year.
 
The examinations will begin on next April 10.
 
Professor Parvaj Sazzad Chowdhury, controller of CEB, told BSS that they have completed all preparations to hold the examinations in a peaceful atmosphere.
 
As many as 35,530 students from science group, 57,321 from humanities group and 47,777 students from business group, totaling 140,628 are scheduled to sit for the SSC examination, he said.
 
Among the students 61,629 male students and 78999 female students will participate in the examination.
 
The students will participate in the examinations from 1,164 high schools through 219 centers.
 
Over 65 vigilance teams consisting of teachers and magistrates have been formed to check any sort of unfair means or irregularities.
