Two establishments fined for adulteration in Jhenaidah

JHENAIDAH, March 19, 2025 (BSS) - A mobile court today fined two shops for stocking adulterated food items and using banned polythene at Barobazaar under Kaliganj upazila of the district. 

The mobile court, led by Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shahin Alam, conducted a drive at a turmeric factory, 'Vai Vai Store', and a rice warehouse 'Madina Store' in Barobazaar at 1:30pm and fined Taka 4,000 each for storing adulterated food items and using banned polythene.

Jute directorate Inspector Faruk Hossain was present during the drive.

Assistant Commissioner Shahin Alam stated that the monitoring would continue for a month to control commodity prices and ensure the normal supply of goods.
