5,000 trees planted in a day in Tangail

TANGAIL, June 25, 2025 (BSS) - With the slogan "One child, one dream - let the future generation develop with flowers," 5,000 trees were planted in various educational institutions across the district today. 

Deputy Commissioner Sharifa Haque inaugurated the tree plantation programme by planting Krishnachura and Jarul trees along with students at Kodalia Government Primary School ground in Tangail town this morning.

About 5,000 trees were planted simultaneously in 1,623 educational institutions across the district.

Additional Deputy Commissioners Abdullah Al Mamun (General) and Sanjay Kumar Mahanta (Education) were present on the occasion.
